Mine was also blue screening but the blue screen was a side effect. New to windows, but will definitely look at the crash log info.įocusrite drivers are horrid and their customer support is absolutely the worst. Tried uninstalling/re-installing drivers countless times. I had issues with my Macbook previously with the focusrite interface (distorted sound), so I suspected the issue is again with the interface. Just had an issue with Reaper not starting up, so I removed Aether by 2CAudio, and it started up, so the issue was definitely with that plugin in some way. ![]() I agree with the fact that plugins could be an issue. Sorry if I am preaching to the converted. The few other things to try: Thoroughly trace through your gear/connections - a faulty cable could be a culprit and certainly cheaper to replace Properly uninstall the drivers and make absolutely sure you have the correct one to install for your soundcard try and use the soundcard on another pc. If it makes no sense to you post it here. You do know you can find out info by looking at the crash log in windows event viewer? I have had many crashes and hangs over the years and mostly to do with plugins, not my soundcard. ![]() ![]() Now I am not an expert at this stuff but I would not advise getting a new soundcard without first exhausting all the avenues for finding out reason for the crashing.
